As we enter the festive season, let’s not forget our loved ones that are no longer with us. For those who have experienced loss, sometimes it hits you in the face regardless of what you’re doing. Christmas is the greatest time of the year, and this year why don’t you pick up the phone to a relative you haven’t spoken to in a while. We can get comfortable in our own bubble but miss out on what really matters. Christmas is a time for giving and sharing, it’s also a time where families come together regardless of circumstances.
It’s also a time to reflect on the past year and to see what were the best times you had? At what times through the course of the year were you the happiest?
What makes you happy? Many had wedding celebrations or found a new partner or even got a new job. Others became rich or experienced a fantastic holiday.
For those who exercise, we often find a specific point in the year where we can say “at that time l was in the best shape of my life.”
This is also a high point in the year, because changing our bodies does indeed provide a high point, and for many of us the highest point in the year where you the most happiest.
So wouldn’t it be great to take that particular high point and mass produce it for 2012? Not just once a year, but why not every month or every week?
This is how l would set goal setting, to balance your lifestyle so that every week you can achieve a high point where many experience happiness, to be happy in ourselves.
My cousin Jonathan Jerrimah wrote the song “happiness” in his bedroom many years ago, and now as an international superstar, he performs this song regularly in front of 40,000 people.
So, Merry Christmas everyone, and if it’s the pursuit of happiness you want, then go get it because believing in yourself is your strongest motivational tool.
